creating patterns

Lately I've been working like a house elf preparing Christmas Season and working on some new patterns. I've been knitting everywhere: at home with Stranger things, Harry Potter and Downton Abbey playing on TV, in the train, on the platform, queueing at Eurostar check in, in pubs, in coffee shops, in public gardens... I've been making dozens of fingerless gloves; selecting colours and doing and undoing the work to end up with my favourite pattern.

I've offered a few, tested it myself, and I think my pattern is now ready to be worn.

The design I selected is a twisted cord pattern; a unique one running along the wrist to the fingers. And I think it is quite a symbolic representation of my present state of mind. I know where I want to be but I keep turning around and never reach the desination. Still, the result is quite pretty so let's not make too much of it... and simply enjoy.
